Since more than 3.000 years Greece and Rhodes in particular, is acquainted with olives and olive oil. From the 8th century B.C. the olive oil of Rhodes, together with excellent wine and dry figs, was exported to all Mediterranean and Black Sea. Through the centuries, this tradition is carried on in Greece and Rhodes, producing the highest quality of olive oil in the world, probably the result of a successful combination of soil, sun-light and love for the product.

We, the Passalis family, are considering ourselves as a small link to this long and strong chain of history. Grandfather Alexandros, with long roots in this area of Theologos – Rhodes, had planted 800 olive trees on this field of Alex Beach, in 1975, the last year of his life. On this field, we, children and grandchildren of Alexandros, created Alex Beach Hotel, maintaining and cultivating 300 of these olive trees. “ALEXANDROS” olive oil has participated to the 2013 annual National Competition of Olive Oils, the “Aristion Poiotitas” (Quality Excellence), with 90.13% of satisfaction, winning a distinction for its “strong, fruity flavor”.
